I occasionally like to creatively play with recipes in the kitchen. I may follow a recipe precisely the first try, but the next time around, I allow myself a bit more freedom of expression and experiential exploration. I like sniffing the spices and imagining how textures and flavors, colors and scents may be combined for a truly sensual experience.
Don't worry, I'll keep the flops off the blog--and, oh, I've had a flop or hundreds, but my husband obligingly eats whatever I concoct. The way to his heart was definitely through that man's stomach (though you wouldn't know it by looking at him).
